Tack Strip Nails Poking Through Carpet

Every time i go up and down the stairs i can sometimes feel the nails but i can always feel the wooden tack strip itself making the stairs uneven.

When you replace the carpet have them use carpet tape instead of tack strips good luck. The edge of the tiles that are adjacent to the carpet is sharp and partially exposed so you have to make sure you don t step on a tile edge either.
